Movie Review: Avengement 2019

This movie is directed by Jesse V Johnson which came out in 2019.

The movie focuses on few limited characters and retrospective storytelling. Scott Adkins narrates the past in the first person.

There is lots of action, a bit of emotion which makes for not a great watch but just okay.

It’s a story of the transformation of the movie’s protagonist; sort of “Creed” stuff with lots of fighting leading to the transformation and in a prison. It includes graphic and mental storytelling of the circumstances which lead the protagonist to that stage. It’s a one-person kill all movie.

The storyline seems boring at first but then it surprises us towards the end. The larger storyline is based around the gangs of London.

The movie is about respect wanted in society. How a brother betrayed a brother and it leads to one asking 20k pound bounty on his brother’s head.

Overall, it's an action movie and the fighting is worth the watch.
